Pickering is an ancient market town the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire, England, and is on the border of the North York Moors National Park. It is ideally placed at the foot of the Moors, overlooking the Vale of Pickering to the south
You can enjoy a number of theatres around Pickering. All offer a range of shows and productions including hosting Jazz festivals and concerts in the summer months. Both amateur and professional performances put on shows throughout the year.
In the centre of the town there is a swimming and recreation center, a library and a information point where all the guides and maps, nature trails and things to do and see are available.
There are also a few clubs to get involved with that can help you make the most of your stay, music, gardening, drama and art are just a few. Pickering town FC is nearby to the cottage and during the football season it can be very busy. Cricket, badminton and bowels are other sports to enjoy and also see.
